Police to take feedback from citizens
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad police is pulling up its socks. Should one approach the police with a complaint or any other service request; he/she is likely to get a call from the head office seeking a feedback. The police department will improve its service based on the opinion garnered in this manner.
In order to increase the efficiency and accountability of policing, the Hyderabad police initiated Citizen Satisfaction Feedback Service by setting up a call centre at the Commissioner’s office. Launching the new system, Hyderabad police commissioner Mahender Reddy said that professionals, who have experience in call centre services, have been hired and stationed at the Police Commissionerate head quarters. “These professionals will contact about 20 per cent of citizens who have sought/availed/ by police services and will take their feedback by asking a set of questions. The officers will analyse the feedback and we will take appropriate measures to improve the service. The analysis will be shared with police stations in a transparent manner,” he said. The identity of the citizen, to be kept a secret.
