China to help in AP bullet trains
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has sought assistance of the Chinese Railway experts to prepare a feasibility report on setting up Bullet Trains in coastal corridors of Visakhapantam, Vijayawada and also Tirupati and extend it up to Chennai.
His request came when a delegation consisting of Chinese railway group Zhou Fang Yuan, Eric and Serge Devieux, director, South Asia, International Finance Corporation of World Bank Group visited the Chief Minister at his office here on Thursday.
The delegation gave an assurance that they would study the options and begin making the report from next month. The Chief Minister also wanted the Chineese assistance in formulating a freight corridor linking the ports in the state.
