Actor-producer Akkineni Nagarjuna is leaving no stone unturned to make his son Akhil’s launch a grand one. The latest buzz doing rounds in Film Nagar is that the Manmadhudu star roped in Kona Venkat to work on the script of Akhil’s maiden film. While already Nag zeroed in on Dhamarukam director Veligonda Srinivas to provide story for the socio-fantasy on the lines of Jagadekaveerudu Athilokasundari, Kona Venkat is said to be the latest addition of the team who will pen the screenplay.
“Kona whose forte is comedy is going to bring that comic-tinge to the script which will make the film more entertaining and engaging,” said a source in the know. Director VV Vinayak who is going to wield the megaphone for this project is also voted in favour of Kona which brought him on board.
“Kona gets lot of screenplay offers but he chooses that have potential to be a hit, so it seems, that he was impressed with Akhil’s debut script, so giving his Midas touch,” the source adds. Meanwhile, the heroine opposite Akhil hasn’t been finalized yet. All eyes are on whom Nag will rope in to pair up with Akhil.
