Inter exam row: AP ministers meets governor
HYDERABAD: A delegation of Andhra Pradesh ministers called on governor E S L Narasimhan and requested him to persuade the Telangana regime to agree to a common schedule for the Intermediate examinations to be held next year. While the TDP government announced the schedule from March 11-31 for the exams next year, the TRS regime said later that it will conduct the exams separately.
The ministers who called on the governor included Ganta Srinivasa Rao (HRD), Kamineni Srinivas (health) and Acham Naidu (youth and sports). Speaking to the media after the meeting, Ganta Srinivasa Rao said the AP Reorganization Act clearly mentioned that exams should be conducted jointly by the two states for 10 years. "The governor assured us that he will discuss the issue with the Telangana government" he said.
