Three stories finalised for Chiranjeevi's 150th film
More than Chiranjeevi, it’s his son Ram Charan, who is working round the clock to ensure that his megastar father gets the right script and right director in place for his landmark 150th project. While top writers are entrusted with the job of coming up with an entertaining script for Chiru, it is now learnt that the father-son duo have zeroed in on three subjects. “Yes, we’ve finalised three stories. We are discussing them on a regular basis; we’ve even held meetings the other day. Dad will take a final call on the subject that he wants to do. I will produce the film by floating a production house on mom Surekha’s name,” says Charan.
While the suave actor is tight-lipped on who will helm the project, it is further learnt that Vinayak, who has directed ‘Tagore’ with Chiru, is no longer in contention to helm the project. “He is not in the race anymore. He has already shifted focus to launch Nagarjuna’s younger son Akhil,” says a source.
So, who will supervise Chiru’s flick? “It will take some more time but the ball is definitely in the actor-turned-politician’s court. He is buying his own time and is not in a rush to do the film. Krishna Vamsi might also get a look in but it all boils down to how ‘Govindudu Andarivadele’ fares at the box-office,” adds the source.
