Microsoft to set-up data center at Hyderabad
Hyderabad: Satya Nadella, Microsoft CEO during his recent visit to New Delhi has announced that his company will set-up three data centers in India to provide cloud computing services to the country. It is learnt that Microsoft is going to invest Rs.5, 000 crores on each data-center. Although, there is no official word about where these three data centers will be set-up in the country, Satya Nadella’s meeting with Telangana Chief Minister KCR prior to his announcement, gives scope to think one of the three centers are likely to set-up in Hyderabad.
Already there is Microsoft India Development Center is operational in Hyderabad for last several years. If this Microsoft data center also comes to Hyderabad, it will improve the brand image of Hyderabad. It will also send a strong message to IT world that Hyderabad is most suitable place for setting-up IT Companies. Seeing the vast market for cloud computing business in the country, these data centers may provide huge employment to youth.
