Megastar gets prestigious ANR national award
As part of the Manam 100days and Oka Laila Kosam Audio release celebrations, the prestigious ANR National Award for the year 2014 has been announced.ANR National Award for this year goes to none other than Bollywood Megastar Amitabh Bachchan. Notably, Big B played a cameo in 'Manam' .
Amitabh Bachchan has been chosen for this esteemed award and even Big B agreed to accept this rare honor, according to latest reports. ANR annual award was instituted in 2005 by the Akkineni International Foundation with an intent to recognise the contribution of stalwarts to the Indian film industry.
The award comes with a memento, a citation and a cash prize of Rs. 5 lakh. The first to be chosen for the ANR National Award was Dev Anand (2005), Shabana Azmi (2006), Anjali Devi (2007), Vyjayantimala Bali (2008), Lata Mangeshkar (2009), K. Balachander (2010), Hema Malini (2011) ;Sridevi (2013), Syam Benegal (2012). Akkineni Nagarjuna and Amitabh share a good relation outside.
We’ve already seen Nag and Big B acting together in Khuda Gawah film and Kalyan Jewelers advertisement in the past and this latest update doesn’t surprise us.
