Cheating case filed against Lawrence
Hyderabad: A cheating case was filed against choreographer turned director Raghava Lawrence and his personal secretary Rajkumar in Jubilee Hills police station on Thursday.
As per reports, Lawrence and producers of movie 'Rebel,' Bhagavan and Pulla Rao entered into an agreement according to which the former promised to complete the movie within Rs 23 crore subject.
Anything in excess would be born by Lawrence himself. But the movie was completed in Rs 28 crores. Producers alleged that, when asked about the excess Rs 5 crores, he was trying to evade and was not even responding to their communications.
Irked producers consulted court and filed a cheating case against Lawrence and his personal secretary Rajkumar, who acted as mediator between them. Jubilee Hills police registered case under IPC section 406,420.
