Anchor Anasuya to debut on big screen
Popular television anchor Anasuya will soon make her film debut.
According to our source, the film does not have the usual song-and-dance routine but is of a completely new genre and Anasuya is playing the main lead in the film. However, it is not a woman-oriented film. A new director is making his debut with this film and a big production house is producing it.
Confirming the news the anchor says, “I got many offers earlier, but was waiting for the right kind of subject. It is a new concept and new genre,” she says.
Anasuya is also in demand on television and is at present anchoring a few popular programmes. She has been anchoring the Maa Mahalakshmi programme on TV for a while now and now for Dasara, special episodes are being aired on all the nine days, with Anasuya hosting the show wearing diamond and gold jewellery worth Rs 4 crore! This is the first time that a television anchor wore real gold for TV and that too worth a whopping `4 crore. “It feels nice and looks different,” says a beaming Anasuya.
