Vijayakanth Announces Rs.10 Lakh for J&K Flood Relief
The DMDK founder said he had made the contribution from his personal funds towards the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund.
Desiya Murpokku Dravidar Kazhagam founder Vijayakanth on Wednesday announced a sum of Rs 10 lakh towards relief efforts in the flood-ravaged Jammu and Kashmir.
The NDA constituent said that the unprecedented rains in the last 60 years has severely affected the people, creating fears about their livelihood.
Mr. Vijayakanth said he had made the contribution from his personal funds towards the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund.
In a statement, he also appealed to the rich, traders, youth and all like-minded people to contribute in this hour of crisis.
